Kaleidoscope Children's Ministries

Kaleidoscope, the children's ministry of Genesis Church, is committed to changing the lives of children by connecting them to Jesus Christ through exciting worship, interest based fellowship, applicable discipleship, and targeted outreach events.

Nursery Suites

Developmentally Appropriate Centers for babies 6 weeks to 36 months are staffed by a team of qualified volunteers during all worship services.

Infant Room - provides a soothing environment for infants 6 weeks - 7 months.
Crawlers Room - once babies are mobile, our crawlers room offers a safe environment for stimulation through exploration.
Toddler Room - specially set up for babies who have mastered walking, through 36 months, this room offers several stations to engage toddlers.
Mother/Baby Suite - conveniently located at the rear of the worship center, this suite offers a private place for mothers to nurse, change, and comfort their babies.

Children's Worship

Preschool 3 - 5 year olds

Our preschool area offers programs during all adult worship services and is staffed by teachers who volunteer on a rotational basis.

M&M (8:30am) - Music and Motion is an hour of kid-style praise music and Bible activities geared just for preschoolers.
Lil'K (10:15am) - Lil' K is an interactive multimedia experience specifically for 3 - 5 year olds. Preschoolers will interact with a theme based teaching video, sing fun songs, learn a "Remember Verse," and participate in fun group activities that reinforce the lesson objectives.

Elementary K - 5th Grade

Kidz P.R.A.Y. (8:30am) - Children have the opportunity each week to take part in Kidz P.R.A.Y. a small group time where kids spend time learning to Praise, Repent, Ask, and Yield in their prayer time. Children will also learn to keep a prayer journal.
KidMo (10:15am) - KidMo is an high energy, interactive, multimedia based service that teaches God's truth in ways that impact a child's choices and actions. KidMo includes K'Motion music, and interactive teaching video, Memory Max, Quizmo, and small group time.

Week Day Programs

Little Beginnings

Little Beginnings, a parent's day out ministry for children 2 - 4 years old, is offered each week from 8:45 - 2:30. Little Beginnings is a Biblically based program with academic activities that correspond with monthly Bible themes. Here teachers share the love of Jesus Christ with little ones while providing them a safe, secure environment for socialization. For registration and tuition contact the church office. (251)986-5843

K-Scope

K-Scope, short for Kaleidoscope, is Genesis' mid-week ministry for kids in grades K - 5. A separate class is available for preschoolers ages 3 - 5. K-Scope includes fun games, applicable Bible lessons, upbeat praise music, and several small group classes to choose from each quarter. In order to reach out to kids in our community, K-Scope offers classes like sign-language, music, puppets, drama, arts and crafts, sports, camping, scrap-booking, fishing, needlework, cooking, pine wood derby, and more. Kids choose the class of their choice each quarter and break out into these classes each week after large group chapel time. K-Scope is held on Wednesday evenings during the academic school year from 6:30 - 8pm.

A Life of Faith Girls' Clubs

Helping ordinary girls live a life of extraordinary faith!

Motto: I will seek to live a life of faith, growing in God, treasuring His Word, shining His light, and sharing His love.

The clubs (explained below) will meet on the 1st Saturday of each month from 2 - 4 pm. Each month will have a different theme, such as servanthood, giving and gratefulness. Girls will enjoy a Bible lesson based on Elsie or Millie's experiences, refreshments and a craft project.

There is a $15 registration fee for the year. The fee covers a t-shirt to wear to club meetings, handouts and supplies. For more information please contact Genesis. (251)986-5843

The Elsie Club: (girls in 1st through 3rd grade)

Meet Elsie Dinsmore, an 8 year old girl, who loves Jesus Christ more than anything in the world. Her faith is often challenged by her family, but Elsie's faith in Christ helps her to overcome the many obstacles that she faces.

The Millie Club: (girls in 4th through 8th grade)

Millie Keith is Elsie's cousin. Millie's family is very important to her as well as her faith. Millie faces many situations where she must choose between following her faith and trying to fit in with her friends.
